Todd and Amber…

You have to listen, really listen…or you might miss something. Amber talks at the speed of light and Todd just listens and smiles (well sometimes he chuckles). They have been married for a year and a half and have nothing in common, but their great love for each other. He is mellow, calm and soothes Amber when she needs it. She is giggly, smiley and loves Todd with her whole heart. Yep, they complete each other.

We went to Santa Monica Pier on Sunday to do some photos before Todd leaves for the Army next week. Amber is staying in California to complete school and will join him when she graduates this spring.

No, don’t get excited, this isn’t going to be a thrilling story of going dancing or something like that.

As you know, I am with my 2 little boys all week, and it can be, well, TRYING, at times. I really look forward to going to work on the weekends, shooting weddings. But twice a month I go to a “Small Group” with my church. It is just that, a small group of people at a home, praying, sharing stories, encouraging each other, and just interacting. My particular small group is specific to photographers. ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS: pro, amateur, sports, wedding, portrait, even BUGS

These people really challenge me to think outside the box, by giving me another point of view. A totally different point of view. It is awesome to get together with people that share two HUGE passions with me…MY GOD, and my photography!!

OK, so it isn’t the major leagues, but middle school Baseball can be just as exciting…REALLY! This was back in November, but that was just about the time that Holidays kicked in and I can’t seem to remember much after that.

Brian and Laura…Wedding

Her smile is bigger then Texas (where they live), and it lights up the room when she talks about Brian. The wedding colors were chosen because of their love for Texas A&M University…Go Aggies! Brian and Laura chose San Diego for their destination wedding, exchanging vows in front of their closest friends and family at the beautiful Sheraton on Harbor Island. I was happy to assist my good friend Mel, with this wedding. Their ceremony was a time to thank their parents and loved ones for the support and guidance over the years.
