There are days when life just overwhelms me. It creeps up slowly in the morning, and then tackles me by the end of the night. You know what I’m talking about. Sometimes I forget to slow down, and pace myself.

Then I see his face; the face of innocence and mischievousness. The look that makes me want to scoop him up in my arms and squeeze him.

I am so thankful for him…

So I know that I have been a horrible blogger this summer. In the last 4 months, my family has gone through many changes, and in trying to keep some normalcy, I have been spending more time with them.

And today we started a new step in Robbie’s life. Today was his first day of Pre-K. It was a bittersweet moment for me. In fact, I was pretty worried until we picked him up and he said he loved it and had a good time. Here are a few photos of him…

Now that Robbie is in school, I am hoping to get back on track with my blogging, aaaaannnd keeping the house clean

My September is going to be pretty busy, starting with leaving for Florida this Friday. I am going to spend the weekend and second shoot for my sweet friend and fabulous photographer, Scarlett Lillian.

So, I am still here and kicking, but sometimes, living life is more important then blogging it.

I’ve had an awesome week so far, and it is only going to get better. From Monday until Wednesday, my little sister and one of my nieces came and stayed with me. It is the first family that has come stay with us since we moved. We had the bestest time! We went to a local farm and picked our own fruit and veggies. We went to the beach a couple times; and what would a visit with the Sis be without a couple bottles of 2 Buck Chuck?

I already miss them, but I have a feeling that the whole family will be back very soon
