Kiran and Sreedhar…Part I

I chose to be a wedding photographer because of the great emotion felt on that day. Families that become intertwined when two people become one. Each wedding is unique and so special, and I love everyone.

There is something truly amazing about building a relationship with a couple based on their love for each other. Being invited to share in this very important time in their lives is both humbling and a huge honor.

Kiran and I were connected through the Internet, and although we shared many emails and phone calls, we did not meet until the day before her wedding. Meeting Kiran in person was like reuniting with a long lost friend. She is warm, caring, and tender, and as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. Sreedhar is equally as kind, and compassionate, and his love for Kiran is evident in everything he does.

Kiran is of Scottish and Indian heritage, and Sreedhar is Indian. They did a wonderful job of integrating both of these beautiful cultures in their celebration. They also shared their love of music with their guests; this couple is talented!

I rarely get to spend an entire weekend with my couples, but this wedding was a 3 day event. I joined Kiran and Sreedhar with their family and friends in Stinson Beach, CA for their Rehearsal Party on Friday evening. It was a wonderful night.

I am happy to say that I was able to get henna too!

Their entrance…

I love the detail of Kiran’s clothes…

Kiran is an AMAZING flutist.

Sreedhar plays the guitar pretty good too ;)

Anita, Kiran’s twin sister, performed Kathak dance. This particular dance told the story of Kiran and Sreedhar’s relationship…

It was beautiful…

I love this photo of Sreedhar’s hand on Kiran. To me it is the essence of how he feels about her. Loving, tender and protecting.

One last image…

Next…The Wedding.
