Earth Hour 2008
It started with a question…How can we inspire people to take action on climate change?
The answer…Ask the people of Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour.
On March 31, 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney businesses turned off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour. If the greenhouse reduction achieved in Sydney during Earth Hour was sustained for an hour, it would be equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year!
So now, I am asking you: today, at 8pm local time, turn off your lights and appliances for one hour.It is a small sacrifice to make a measurable difference…please join me.

If I was going to be home, I would totally do this! But I will be at a bar…
Technically my lights will be out, I’ll make sure to unplug before I leave too!
I hope a lot of people do this, I heard about it on the news tonight too!
go earth!!!!
Eek, too late on this one! I did it today though…. does that count? I’m sick and lights bother my eyes so I keep screaming at everyone to turn off the lights! HAHA I did replace all my regular bulbs to those crappy energy saving flickering ones though! LMAO!
